Spectacular Saigon!
Wearing
Vietnamese Traditional Dress : Ao Dai
Conical Hat : Souvenir from Vietnam
Dep Lop Sandal : Sandals made of recycled tires
Eye wear : Mango
Yet again, another amazing destination has been added on my travel list. My first impression about the country is far from what I read online... Believe me, in every places I go, I usually read about people's testimonials, most of these posts is all about warning traveler of the dangers, the pickpockets, of the ripoffs and the lasting impression about the Vietnam war. The thoughts of reading all this negativity was quite upsetting. I felt my safety was seriously at risk

Winter Essentials : Ft. the Double Breasted Jacket
Before I finally put this double breasted jacket out of my closet - allow me first to share it to you for the last time. For today's look, I mixed it up with a hybrid leather chinos to pull that minimalist look. At first, I was a bit hesitant to combine these two colors - khaki and black but I believe it turned out well.
What do you think guys?

Wishlist : Take me to Europe
and I'm back sweethearts... It feels like I haven't blog for ages - apologize for not keeping you updated with my latest fashion style, as you may know, I spent more hours posting my daily looks on Instagram especially when I have no time to blog.As usual, I am pretty caught up with work and stuff oh and this will be my first blogpost for 2015
Last week, while browsing through the massive sales in H&M in World Trade Center, Abu Dhabi - I found this awesome over-sized jumper from ladies section and what really attracts me is the orange color which is one of my favorite pigments - it also creates a bold statement for a daytime winter look in the desert.

Wardrobe Essentials : Featuring the Denim Top
You can never go wrong with denim - I have probably said it a hundred times but having a pair of any denim top in your closet is considerably a great tool in helping you when it comes to your clothing essentials. They are simple, versatile and can be worn with almost anything, at any time of the year!
Flexibility is the key - you can change the whole look by simply adding a bit of accessories or a piece of outerwear for utilitarian purposes.
Now bear in mind that the wardrobe essential as such is only a basic thing- it is all up to you to add anything that suits your style and taste!!!
Details of today's outfit:
Denim Top : H&M
Corduroy Jeans : Bershka
Sunnies : Cotton On
Fedora : Zara
and that's a wrap sweethearts... stay tune for more outfit inspirations coming up soon

Holiday Rush!!!
With barely less than a week before the boxing day, the influx of people going to the malls are rapidly increasing - some are taking advantage of avoiding traffic during rush hours, long queue in stores particularly for those outlets having "BIG SALES", whilst others are now busy on their shopping list and making sure that they have everything for the Christmas day - unfortunately in my case - it looks like there is no big rush that is going to happen. Not only that I did cut down from my expenses, I am also saving some for my upcoming vacation which is fast approaching...pretty ecstatic!!!
Since we were avoiding rush places like Abu Dhabi Mall and Marina Mall , my fellow blogger cum photographer, Miggy and I decided to walk through the nearby Mall which is called The Galleria - Abu Dhabi's finest and luxurious mall located in Al Maryah island. There's magnificent views across the waterfront and the city's landscape showing the true glamour of the metropolis!!! What an awesome place in the region!!!
I would truly recommend this spectacular place for those haven't been in this part of the city - it is for you to explore and find out what this place could offer!!!! In the meantime, please enjoy the sightings below;

Modern Preppy Look!!!
The preppy look is basically a neat, well-balanced, put-together look that can be achieved by combining the right colors, patterns, and accessories. Over time, preppy fashion has evolved from a classic and simple look into a modern and quirky style. Looking preppy is more than just throwing a pastel polo and a boat shoes - it is emanating the aura and attitude of specific liberty lifestyle
How to look modern preppy? Here are some possible pieces to consider which I also wore during our outdoor shoot;
- Polo shirts or Oxford shirts (replaced with a plaid button up polo)
- cable knit vest (not on my wardrobe list)
- cricket sweaters (replaced with a striped pullover)
- chino pants (light green cotton chinos)
- tassel brogue loafers (my favorite mustard color)
- baseball cap (coach it is!)
I hope you guys like my version of preppy style'

Wardrobe Weeding is the key!!!
I have been very active on my posts recently and often
times, you’ll find me showcasing my #OOTD’s or simply sharing you my
#fashionspirations (fashion inspirations
outfits) either in Lookbook, Facebook or mostly in Instagram. By doing so – it
also means different types of clothing’s needed!!! This is where my
frustrations comes in place- The most dreadful part in choosing the clothes to
wear is either I feel that the clothes is too small on my size (blame it on the
extra pounds I gained!!! Grrrr!!!) or that feeling where you think you have
“nothing to wear “ when you actually have a full wardrobe of clothes
I get it , sometimes we were blinded by all these enticing "SALES" we saw in the mall and most of us ended up buying things that are just
kept “on hangers” – items that are not liked, does not fit properly or perhaps
bought on a caprice –impulsive buyers like me can totally relate to this!!!
Then, I started to experiment my mode of dressing –
de-clutter those pieces so I could see the true potential of what I have in my
closet, only identify pieces that I can still be of used and filter out the
rest and voila!!!! I would have never imagined that the outcome is excellent!
After clearing out my closet - I feel confident that the next time I open my walking wardrobe ( haha!! ) I am going to see something nice and are useful for my kind of style!!!
Details of today's outfit :
Cropped Pullover : H&M
Tattered Jeans : Zara
Burgundy Combat Boots : H&M
Plain Button-up : Iconic
There you have it folks:), I hope you find this post a little helpful in weeding your closet, always remember your style is unique - let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others" - Anna Wintour

Taking advantage of Winter in UAE!!!
It's the time of the season where layering is an important element in clothing, you can never go wrong in having a piece of outerwear with you which you can then wear during nighttime as it usually gets a little warmer after that...
Having been a residence in the desert for more than a decade, I have experienced the hottest temperature averaging from above 38 degrees Celsius which usually occurs during the month of June through September and the cooler season is from Nov. to March which ranges between moderately hot to cold
On average, we experienced longer summer season than winter in UAE so I feel a sense of relieved every time winter comes- who does not want to retreat from the intense summer heat and year round humidity in the capital?
I'm glad I invested into a durable denim jacket which I actually got from Maison Martin Margiela collaboration with H&M - yes and I am one hell of a lucky guy who actually owns several pieces from that collection!!! sweet!!!!
Detail's of today's outfit:
Reversed Denim Jacket : Maison Martin Margiela
Hi- Top Sneakers : Maison Martin Margiela
Thank you guys for the time reading my posts, please feel free to drop me a note :)

Sports Luxe Style ft. Fashion Trainer!!!
Think about vests, bomber jackets and hi-top trainers/sneakers for a wearable look with the spirit of strenuosity. It's no secret that sportswear is making a big hit nowadays, everyone seemingly tossing around the term "sports luxe" banging all the way
What I love about this look is its modern, comfy and cool. Alexander Wang, to name a few have been the pioneer of the sports luxe trend and he has recently launched his sports pieces collaboration with H&M last Nov 6th which I happened to missed. (feeling gutted)
"nuff" said - Here is my version of sport's luxe style featuring my all time fave Maison Martin Margiela Le Trompe Hi Top sneakers;
with a cooling temperature now in the desert - there is no better time to embrace the sports luxe trend. The "on the go" look for an effortless yet fashionable appearance!!!
Details of today's outfit:
Bomber Jacket: Zara
Leggings : H&M
Eye wear : Emporio Armani
Sneakers : Maison Martin Margiela
I hope you like my version of sports luxe style, for inquiries and collaboration, please drop me a note at roymenor2680@yahoo.com
Have fun you guys, till my next post :)

The Grunge Look!!!
I usually don't stick to one look, if people asks me what is my personal style, I honestly tell them my mode of dressing depends on how I feel that day - it does not evolve from one particular look... I love experimenting!!!
One style that I truly love is the grunge fashion! The style combines elements of punk mixed with inexpensive working class clothing, like jeans and plaid fabrics and of course putting it up with all the right accessories
Unlike many other fashion trends, other than plaid, there appears to be no true constant in grunge. What do you think of this look guys?
Details of today's outfit:
Bart Simpson Tee : Bershka
Plaid Shirt Flannel : Zara
Skinny Black Denim : Zara
Platform Boots : Out of the World Tokyo

Fashion vs. Style!!!
"To experiment with style"
Fashion is evolving every now and then and never get confused between Fashion and Style, So let me ask you this? What is the real deal between Fashion and Style? What makes them different from one another.
Here is the definition stated by Fashion Blogger Jill Chivers;
Fashion is the relationship to the external. It is concerned with “what’s out there” (fashion items, in the stores). It’s a matching process between what’s out there(fashion’s primary interest) to what I’m wearing. Is what I’m wearing a ‘match’ for what’s ‘out there’, to what’s been deemed ‘in fashion’?
Style is the relationship to the internal. It’s about “what’s in here” (my sense of self, my identity, my perception of who I am). The matching process is between what’s in here and how that is reflected and expressed in what I’m wearing. Does my clothing ‘match’ my sense of who I am, at least for today?
Based on that definition, you can easily tell a big difference in the orientation of our focus if it's on fashion versus style.
Fashion is very universal - it rapidly evolves and constantly changes, style has a dynamic nature too but it's more about self expression and showing your uniqueness which I think that what makes us different from one another!!!
and that is my views on Fashion vs. Style , if you got something to share, please feel free to drop me a note
Details of my outfit below;
Head Accessories : Salakot from Philippines
Dress Shirt : Zara
Trousers : Zara
Oxford Shoes : Zara
